Congress May Cut Critical Child Protection Funding. Here’s How You Can Help

“No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.”
Today, we are asking you to do one thing that can help identify, safeguard and protect children. Every day, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces work to identify and recover children impacted by online sexual exploitation. Their federal funding, authorized by the Protect Our Children Act, is now at risk of being excluded from this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
This funding enables investigators to act quickly when every moment matters, helping to locate children, prevent further harm, and support recovery. Without it:
Investigations slow
Case backlogs grow
Fewer children are reached in time
Here’s how you can help:
➡️ Email Chairman Jim Jordan’s office today: gregory.salavec@mail.house.gov

➡️ Share this briefing with your networks. Every message amplifies impact.
At Canary, we believe technology and collaboration can accelerate recovery and restore dignity. Protecting children online isn’t a partisan issue, it’s a shared responsibility. Your voice can help ensure this critical funding continues, so every child can be found faster and their future safeguarded.
